We are looking for ideas for fundraising for 2013 (besides the Walk). Some of the ones that are being looked are:
April Garage Sale Palace Poker Room Spaghetti Dinner at the Burton Eagles Nuevo Vallarta Dinner Golf Gala Little Caesars Volunteer Day Wine Tasting Party
We are looking for input. What do you think? Any that sound appealing to you? Also, we will need volunteers to help man the events. If you are interested in being the Lead on a Fundraising Event, please contact one of the officers or me, Kathy Johnson. I will help fill out the event paperwork and the officers will assist you in getting volunteers to help. More information will be posted as updates come in, or if you want to volunteer and have specific days and hours that you are available, email me or call the office and let us know those days and times.

I would love to help with the poker room one night as well as the walk. I dont mind doing the lucky buckets or helping with the awareness tent or little things here and there!

Super Dayna!...our first walk meeting is next week. If you would like to "captain a tent" be sure to come to the meeting, otherwise we will be posting the threads of the tents and volunteer opportunities after that first meeting and you can sign up for those things that appeal to you. My question would b: which events were the best money makers? which were the easiest to find volunteers for? Also, the ratio of man hours vs income

All good questions, Chris, and those will be some of the factors the Board will use to decide which events to do this year. We hope to offer new types of fundraisers that would enable those that have wanted to help out before, and couldn't because of time/day constraints to join in..so maybe one or two evening things and one or two day things?....weekend versus weekday, and so on.
