ASGGC is having Poker Fundraisers at Legends of Poker on Thompson Rd & US23.
3235 W Thompson Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 Take US23 to Thompson Rd, turn East and then Legends is on the right.
Responsibilities: fill out forms (copies will be supplied) Take money and give chips (floor manager oversees and double counts) enter dollars and chips in and out on paper & computer Take in chips and give back money. (floor manager oversees) Sign paper for accuracy Take money at the end of the night and meet with Pat or Amy next day.
That's it! Bring a book, laptop, tablet, magazines or whatever to occupy your time. Invite your friends to play too!
Dates: We need at least 2 people per evening, can split up if necessary. Split shift 6-10 or 10-2 a.m.
November 15, 6 pm - 2 am (Amy D & Amy Morris) November 16, 6 pm - 2 am (Kathy & Jim Johnson, Chris Roche) November 17, 6 pm - 2 am (Pat Spohn & Liz M) November 18, 2 pm - 12 am (Melissa Werner & Trisha Townsend)
Please post if you are available to volunteer any of these nights.

I haven't done it before, but I think you just sell poker chips to the players

Haha Dayna It's SUPER easy, just sit there and take their money and give them chips. No walking necessary!

Dayna, it is super easy! Stu and I did it a few years ago for a hospice fundraiser. Everyone plays at the tables on the floor and we sit behind a desk to take money for their chips. It is busier at the beginning and then slows down. Stu opted to play this time instead of work. Lol! Definitely bring a book or something to entertain yourself during the lulls.

Thanks Pat for joining me last night for the Poker Night! It was nice to be able to go, relax, and chat while helping the group. It was like a Friday night out for me I encourage anyone that is not able to help out a lot, this is the perfect opportunity to help and volunteer. Very little work to help out a great cause!
